Viral Marketing campaigns are internet-based, and are designed to create word of mouth for a product launch or service. In most cases, the objective of Viral Marketing campaigns is to generate high media coverage with a for a relatively small investment. This campaign launched an online manifesto where Spanish people requested a grant of 400€ to the Government to be spent solely on their summer holidays. In just two weeks, this campaign obtained over 20,000 signatures for the petition.

Thanks to the viral marketing that Marco de Comunicación created for LoQUo, the company significantly increased the number of visitor to its website as well as its media coverage. The campaign included a viral marketing campaign that consisted in organizing the first virtual cacerolada (a pot-banging protest) in Spain for the access of young people to decent housing. The virtual message spread very quickly among virtual communities and Spanish youth.
