A crisis arrives quickly and without warning, allowing very little time to react. The team at MdC is aware of how vitally important it is for companies to be ready to react in critical situations. For this reason it offers support in the following areas:
- Crisis Prevention: MdC assesses possible brand risks through its press office in order to prepare the company to react in risk situations. We develop a detailed crisis manual analysing all possible approaches to deal with situations as they arise and we carry out simulations to help prepare all members of the team. The German energy sector giant EON is an example of a client in this field.
- Crisis Management: A crisis can break out at any moment. The team at MdC is available 24 hours a day in such circumstances. It’s essential to react immediately and to design an action plan in order to tackle the situation in a swift and efficient way. Effective crisis management can turn a risk situation into an opportunity. A good example is the work carried out for IBATUR, the Balearic Institute for Tourism. Following the ETA terrorist attack in Mallorca in July 2009, MdC developed an institutional crisis plan that helped minimise the impact of the attack on the numbers of tourists visiting the Balearic Islands.
