Ainhoa Soria, Elisa Alvarez-Maldonado and Juan Francisco Velasco join the agency’s Tourism department
MdC, the top-rated and most award-winning Spanish PR agency for the seventh consecutive year, continues to grow and so too does its team of professionals. This time it’s the tourism team that’s expanding, with three new hires in recent months.
These new appointments have joined a team which already works with clients such as refund.me, Hoteles.com, Tourism of Mexico, airberlin, Weekendesk and GoEuro among others. Several of their campaigns have won national and international awards. The team’s projects for Tourism of Madeira deserve a special mention after receiving a series of awards for five consecutive years.
The agency’s international vision, based on the hub & spoke model, allows it to offer worldwide communications support to global clients such as refund.me. In this case, the agency currently operates a global campaign for the client across Europe, Latin America and India.
Several weeks ago the Tourism division made three new additions to the team. Ainhoa Soria joins MdC as Account Manager after specialising in Communication and Advertising Management. She has worked at various media outlets, as well as at Public Relations agencies for internationally renowned clients such as Grupo Barma, Procter & Gamble, Tourism of El Salvador and the Mexican State of Quintana Roo.
Elisa Álvarez-Maldonado lands at MdC directly from the United States. Before joining MdC as an Account Executive she worked in marketing, advertising and communications departments in both the travel and fashion sectors at “Ask About Travel” (San Diego), Karla Otto (New York) and Go Silk (New York). Juan Francisco Velasco takes up the same post within the agency having worked for communications agencies in both Holland and Spain.
“The tourism division has always been one of the strongest at MdC,” says Didier Lagae, CEO and founder of MdC. “It’s great to see how it continues to grow every year with new clients and professionals, both with an increasingly international profile”.
