MdC wins three Stevie Awards for, TRESemmé and Bombardier campaigns

MdC, the top-rated and most award-winning Spanish PR agency, has won three Bronze honours at the 2015 International Business Awards in the categories of ‘Viral Video’ for its campaign for, ‘Best Consumer Event’ for TRESemmé and ‘Best Public Relations Event’ for Bombardier.

MdC designed and implemented a 360º pan-European campaign that launched technology start-up from a purely local online business to worldwide sector leader, trebling sales in the space of less than a year. The comprehensive campaign was based in particular on video narratives, social media management and SEO strategy.

The agency also produced a series of creative and cost-efficient videos explaining why and how passengers can claim compensation for flight delays in a fun and appealing way. The videos, which featured a toy airplane in comic day-to-day situations that tugged at viewers’ heartstrings, were shared by thousands and Tard the Plane trended on twitter for three days.

MdC was also recognised for its work positioning TRESemmé (Unilver) as an original, transparent and fashionable brand through a comprehensive campaign based around the TRESemmé MFShow. With MdC’s help, TRESemmé became the show’s official sponsor and co-organizer.

The media impact of the show grew thanks to the presence of dozens of journalists, bloggers and influencers, such as actress and model Esmeralda Moya, along with the organization of a show for amateur models. Media coverage reached over 500 million consumers, 11 times the population of Spain, and transformed TRESemmé into an undoubtedly fashionable brand.

The final award recognised the agency’s work for Bombardier, highlighting in particular the organization of a high-profile event to mark the launch of Bombardier in Morocco. The event generated widespread coverage in the media and was a landmark occasion for the aerospace industry not only in Morocco but across Africa.
