MdC wins Gold at the 2015 Global Mercury Excellence Awards

The agency came out on top in the Public Affairs Category for its campaign for AMDI, ‘Morocco, More Business.’

MdC, the top-rated and most award-winning PR agency, has won a Gold Award in Public Affairs at the 2015 Global Mercury Excellence Awards for the its campaign for the Moroccan Investment Development Agency (AMDI). This award, which recognises the best public affairs campaign across the world in 2014, is the latest in a long list of international prizes recognising the campaign for AMDI, an offshoot of the Moroccan Ministry of Industry.

With the aim of attracting investment from European SMEs to stimulate economic growth in Morocco, MdC planned and executed an ambitious 360º international communications campaign for AMDI. The campaign focused on highlighting the competitive advantages of investing in the country through a series of third-party endorsements, featuring testimonial videos and studies carried out by independent financial institutions and recognized business schools.

A powerful advertising campaign, an ambitious media relations and public affairs programme and the creation of information channels alongside important economic groups in each target country helped the campaign position Morocco as part of the solution to the global financial crisis.
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Morocco from across the world grew by 54% in just one year as a result of the campaign. Investment growth was particularly impressive from the two main target markets, France and Spain, which saw a 49% and 76% increase, respectively.
